The employees of offices in the Springfield, Missouri State Office Building were evacuated into the square today. Firefighters on the scene reported that welding in the elevator shafts triggered emergency alarms. It didn't take long for the Springfield Fire Department to 'okay' re-entry to the building. In summary, one big smoke break.
